Associate Dean, Health Sciences Programs
Dr. Holtermannhas been in the EMS field for over 25 years, and currently on an IPA with the US Department of Health and Human Services as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness. Dr. Holtermann has been the principal emergency services coordinator for various large scale events such as: the centennial celebration of the Statue of Liberty; Hurricane Joan; the Limon, Costa Rica 7.4 earthquake, and many dignitary protection details the include the President of the United States. His formal degrees include: a BS in Nursing from New Your University, an MBA from national University, an MPH from San Diego State University, and a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. His research interests are in: 9-1-1 call screening, Domestic Terrorism Preparedness, EMS and managed care partnerships, and EMS systems design for developing countries.
