Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Vesna Zderic is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She received her BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1998 and her PhD degree in Bioengineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2004. Before coming to GWU, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship from the National Space Biomedical Research Institute. Zderic's research interests include ultrasound-enhanced drug delivery, application of therapeutic ultrasound in wound healing, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy for hemorrhage control and tumor treatment, and development of novel therapeutic ultrasound devices.
