Claudia Ranniger, MD, Ph.D is an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Emergency Medicine. She received both her medical doctorate and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. Her research has included waveform analysis of electrical transmission in skeletal muscle to determine rates of muscle fatigue, and analysis of pathologic cardiac rhythms to determine appropriate timing of therapeutic electrical shock. She is also involved in the development and use of simulators in medical training.
